THE MENACE
Return of the Rebel is rooted in the tension between nostalgia and notoriety. We leaned into the legacy of one of Chelsea’s most divisive kits, a shirt that broke visual conventions in the 90s and gained cult status because it split opinion. Drawing from the underground spirit of 90s rave culture, it plays on desire, coded culture and the thrill of exclusivity, celebrating football fashion as identity and attitude. Positioning the redesign as rebellious, we drop Dennis Wise as the plug, the guardian of that era, a man who wore the tangerine classic in 94 and relaunched it in 26.
